Gilbert has left for his new life with his lovely new owner Jo we cant wait to see this guy grow up with you and in the show ring in a few years.

Bart and Twist attended the local Bungendore Ag Show on the 29th of Jan, this was the first trip off the property for them both and they behaved very well! Thank you to all the people who stopped us to comment on how quiet and well behaved they both where. 

Jill has been weaned and is now in show prep with Bart this filly just gets better all the time and we cant wait to get her into a show pen!

Not much happening at the moment! breeding has finished and we are now starting to wean and prep our show team for this year!

Some foals are now weaned and ready for a new home all are halter broke, have had regular farrier work since birth and easy to handle! Gilbert leaves very soon to his new home. A huge congratulations Jo we wish you all the best with this little guy and look forward to his blog!

So That's it guys we are done!! Its a relief to have all our foals on the ground and mares healthy and happy, we would like to extend a huge Thank you to Bungendore Vet Clinic who are only ever a call away. Your advice and care is something we couldn't do without!!

Shimmer N Shine has foaled!! A pretty little filly by The Awestriker this filly is a FULL sister to Multiple State, National and Futurity Champion "Awe Shucks" as well as "Just Awesome" a State Champion from very limited showing. She has that drop dead gorgeous "Just Shameless" head and a lovely body she is correct with sound legs and feet.

SV Rich n Classy has foaled a lovely filly to The Awestriker!! 12 days overdue and worth the wait! baldy face, 2 blue eyes, 4 socks and a big belly splash.  A really lovely little girl she has it all happening her mothers amazing neck a real depth of body and a good hip!

 

Only 1 to go now! waiting on Shimmer n Shine who is in foal to Awestriker and 3 days overdue, all the foals are growing out really well i was watching little Twist (Shamelessly Tempting x Blazin Blue Jeans) lope up the paddock yesterday and he blows me away the slowest, prettiest little mover I'm in LOVE with the way this guy moves!!

Patchawarra Zeehan (Jarrah) foaled a lovely little chestnut colt last night blaze, 3 socks and 2 small belly patches!! We are stoked with what Tex is producing as a sire his foals have all got that lovely "Just Shameless" head of their sire, correct conformation and friendly attitudes! We cant wait to see them in a few years out and about with Am owners or youth competitors.

Tex (Shamelessly Tempting) attended the local ACT and Southern NSW Quarter Horse Association show today he was shown in the

All Age Western Pleasure Stakes

We are proud supporters of this local club and it was great to see people coming out to show in truly awful weather! Hoping to see some great weather and a bigger roll up at our next show on the 2nd of October, why don't you come join us?

 The day before this show Tex was breeding mares! His manners as always where perfect without so much as a look at the other horses and he topped the day off by giving pony rides to 2yr old children.

This horse never stops amazing me!

Its with great sadness that i inform you that Pip our lovely filly from Cause Ima Coosa has passed away in a tragic paddock accident, she was an amazing little filly and only 20 days old.

Some special little girl in heaven now has a very special and missed filly to look after.

Some results from the recent QLD Colourama Show where 2 Awestriker horses where shown BOTH GOING GRAND CHAMPION! Striker is still very much a sire to be reckoned with and his progeny are proving that time and again

The Awestriker IMP USA will no longer be standing to public stud.

This his last year has been a great one we would like to thank everyone who breed and is waiting to breed to this outstanding stallion and wish you all coloured and healthy foals next year!!  Whilst Striker is no longer standing to the public he is still available for viewing and foals by him out of our great selection of mares are for sale, if you would like to meet this boy in the flesh please don't hesitate to contact us and arrange an appointment,

Cause Ima Coosa has delivered a lovely filly to The Awestriker this filly is the image of her older sister Its Cause I'm Awesome who was a place getter at last years national show beating multiple State, National and Futurity champion horses! She has the prettiest head a great rein, nice shoulder short back and a big hip she will be a great futurity/halter prospect as a weaner and lunge line then ride her later on before turning her into an awesome brood mare with her breeding!

Wyntag (TB Octagonal Mare) has also foaled a very BIG BLACK colt with bling! 4 white legs a blaze and two blue eyes he is a lovely boy with a great future ahead of him as a hunter or English horse, pretty sure he is also the ONLY black foal with Awestriker breeding in the country!!

Just An Awesome Tribute has delivered a lovely filly to The Awestriker the filly is a very big girl for a first foal and doing well. She is a lovely girl and we are so happy with what this mare has produced for us, cant wait to see this one in the show ring!!!

Tex's first foal arrived today in fine style born at 12am on a lovely sunny day, mother and bub both doing very well. "Twist" has been named after my old fella who was lost to us recently I'M sure he was watching over as this foal was born so close to his resting place.
A stunning bay overo colt with Tex's beautiful head, great bone, nice short back, good length of rein and just so much stuff in the right places! His lope is already amazing!! We are absolutely over the moon with this cracker of a foal.

It is with a broken heart that i announce the passing of Texas Twister.

My best mate for the past 18yrs he was laid to rest peacefully and is buried high on the hill where he can see us all coming and going.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Bungendore Vet Clinic and Helena his vet for her honesty and kindness whilst we struggled to save him.

Also to my husband Murray who gave me the strength to stay and say goodbye and made sure i did the right thing for him and didn't just think of my own hurt, I couldn't have coped without you.

Tex was my pony club horse, polo x horse and whatever else we felt like doing a huge part of my life i was "owned" by him for 18yrs he was very much a member of our family and loved not only by myself but my parents, husband and children.

May you rest in peace now old man free from pain, I miss you and look forward to seeing you again one day.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jet (TM U Wanted Class) Jet was tragically lost in a paddock accident soon after arriving in his new home. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sally and her family we know how much you loved this boy and the dreams you built around him, we are so very sorry for your loss.

R.I.P Jet fly well on those angel wings boy we miss you

This poem is for Sal i hope in this time of sadness it can give you some comfort.


The Foal

I'll lend you for a little while my grandest foal, HE said.

for you to love while he's alive and mourn for when he is dead.

It may be one or twenty years, or days or months, you see,

but will you, till I take him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief,

you'll have treasured memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,

but there are lessons taught on earth I want this foal to learn.

We would like to extend a huge Congrats' to Mandy Smith of QLD on her recent results with HD Strike A Pose (The Awestriker x Maxines Bid TB Mare) competing at the Toowoomba Royal Show. Below is an email received from Mandy and photos will be posted ASAP.


Hiya
Wyatt had his first show on the weekend at Toowoomba Royal, first float ride, first time out - way to drop him in the deep end!

He LOVED it, people (random strangers) were wanting to pat him and hug him and he was constantly surrounded by people, and little kids poking his face and kissing him, and he was so good with it all, and the jetski blokes do a show and have explosions (very loud ones) and every other horse waiting for the classes jumped and scattered, not our boy, he didn’t even twitch, just stood there with his head under my arm having a nanna nap in the shade!

He was a bit feral in his paint colt class and cantered sideways when we had to trot, but had been standing around for ages waiting so was a bit feisty and when I said trot, he went YEEHAR!

For the futurity he was a lot better and was placed 2nd and got a fancy rosette.
He has had hardly any real prep, just gets a stable and rugs and as much handling as I can fit in around riding the big girls so I am stoked with him :)

Hopefully Wyatt will get to stay and be an eventer when he grows up anyway.

On another note there has been a rumor going around the The Awestriker was PTS this is not true he is alive and well enjoying the grand life!
An American stallion by the same name was put to sleep and it seems people have jumped to certain conclusions..............

Goulburn Show Results.
 Jet (TM U Wanted Class) was taken to his first ever show last week and placed 2nd in his quarter horse colt class also taking out the RESERVE CHAMPION QUARTER HORSE!!! We are very proud of both Jet and his new owners first time showing for both of you and you both stayed cool and calm. WELL DONE!

Shamelessly Tempting was also winner of his class and brought him Champion Paint with TM It's Cause I'm Awesome also winning her filly class.

Well finally home and settled from the PHAA National show, we would like to extend a huge Thank you to DNA Performance Horses and Allan Briskey for riding Tex at the nationals from the 2nd day onwards. We where absolutely stoked to watch Tex improve with every ride and try his heart out for Allan its a testament to this colts amazing nature that he coped with a change of rider a lot of pressure to improve and went out there and gave his all.

Tex has now returned to DNA for the remaining show season and i cant wait to begin lessons on my boy!!

Sneak our Awestriker x Cause Ima Coosa filly did herself proud, a lot of first's for her first time in a stable, first time in an indoor, first big trip etc etc she coped extremely well even with her halter breaking as we walked into the pen for her first class the weanling futurity!!!

Our lovely boy Jet (U Wanted Class) has been sold today it is with great happiness for his new owners and a sadness at seeing him leave, he is such a lovely smooch of a boy. We wish his new owners all the best and just know he is going to an amazing home with years of loving ahead of him, it makes it so much easier to say goodbye!! We wish you all the best with his future and cant wait to see the two of you out and about in the show ring.

Well our first "news" post! 

Our 2 foals are growing well and we couldn't be happier with the quality we have on the ground both are very correct, pretty movers with the most awesome natures we have Jet (SV Rich N Classy x Uwantapieceofme)  up for sale and will be retaining Sneak (Cause Ima Coosa x The Awestriker) as she was just to good to let go!


Some exciting news is our purchase of the outstanding filly CP Apieceofgold out of A Joy To Be Hold IMP USA (Joy Carol x Statutory) x Uwantapieceofme IMP USA we will have some more photos and info up of her once she is settled in at home.
